Across 25 years in business, Mr. Heer has built up a distinguished name for himself as the president of Casey Insurance Group, a role he accepted in 2005. In this position, he oversees a group of 14 employees licensed to offer insurance in 45 states. The company is split into four distinct insurance agencies: Casey Insurance Group, Casey Insurance Commercial, Casey Insurance Brokers and GreatFlorida Insurance. Mr. Heer’s family has been involved in the insurance industry for more than 50 years, and he partnered with his father to launch Casey Insurance Group 25 years ago.
Mr. Heer’s educational background includes coursework completed at Simeon Career Academy and a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science earned from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2003. He has been widely praised for the quality of his work, including being named Agent of the Year and Agency of the Year and receiving a nomination for the Top 100 Brokerage in 2024. Mr. Heer is a convention sponsor for the Florida Association of Insurance Agents and a proud member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
Beyond his career, Mr. Heer enjoys spending time outdoors, skiing, hiking and playing golf. He is also a talented pilot and has served as a lieutenant colonel in the Civil Air Patrol for more than 10 years. In planning for the future, Mr. Heer hopes to grow Casey Insurance Group into a managing general agency. By reaching this ambitious goal, his company would gain the ability to issue policies themselves, placing them in an even better position for future growth.
