He also served as an executive operations officer at Allied Tactical Vehicles, U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center from 2015 to 2016, an assistant program manager for light tactical vehicles from 2013 to 2015, a contingency contracting officer from 2011 to 2013, and an assistant program manager for joint-automatic identification technology from 2009 to 2011 and for transportation information systems from 2007 to 2009. He also served in the U.S. Army for 24 years.
Laying a solid foundation for his success, Mr. Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Miles College in 1995, a Master of Public Administration in economic policy from Jacksonville State University in 2000, and a Master of Strategic Studies in national security and resource strategy from the United States Army War College in 2020. He is also certified in the Program Manager’s Course from the Defense Systems Management College at the Defense Acquisition University. An active volunteer with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, he has been recognized with Meritorious Service Awards and a Service Commendation Medal. He attributes his success to hard work and a deep understanding of people’s desires.
Reflecting on his career, Mr. Wilson notes that after college, he explored opportunities in the military, ultimately leading him to his current profession in procurement. In the coming years, he aims to continue his work within the federal government or the defense sector, seeking to further his contributions in this field. He plans to work with Hive Group until his retirement, after which he intends to remain active in the community. He encourages aspiring military personnel to view their role not just as part of something larger but as active contributors. Embracing the ethos of humble service, he advocates maintaining humility and dedication, whether starting at the bottom or aspiring to leadership positions.
