Joseph Frankie III, BS, MBA, MA, MS, chief executive officer and founder of JFIII Associates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in career development and coaching.

Mr. Frankie currently serves as the chief executive officer of JFIII Associates, a business he started in 2017. In this role, he leverages his previous professional and military experience to provide career coaching to business, civic and military leaders. Mr. Frankie has aided clients ranging in age from 15 to 84, demonstrating the breadth of his knowledge and his ability to help people at different points in their careers. He also specializes in guiding companies to streamline complex projects, recruit and retain top talent, and build a successful culture.

Prior to founding JFIII Associates, Mr. Frankie took on the position of president at McF Associates LLC, a firm that assisted in recruiting executives. He contributed for several years each as a senior executive consultant at EFL Associates and as the vice president of energy knowledge transfer at OpCon Technologies Inc. Mr. Frankie’s civilian career started at Horseshoe Group Inc., where he joined as a senior adviser in 2004 and became a principal of Horseshoe Funding Inc., a spinoff organization.

Before turning to the business world, Mr. Frankie concluded an esteemed military career of nearly 35 years. After joining the United States Army immediately upon graduating high school, he spent approximately half of his service as active infantry before pivoting to logistics roles. Mr. Frankie held such important positions as director of facilities management, director of administration, installation commander and chief of staff for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. His responsibilities included planning out supplies and services on the business side of the military — tasks where he developed skills that would prove equally useful in his post-military professional life. Mr. Frankie retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of colonel.

While serving in the military, Mr. Frankie also established a strong academic foundation for his future. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1974, followed by a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in 1984. Dedicated to continued learning, Mr. Frankie went on to complete a Master of Arts in Spanish at the University of Arkansas in 1987. Subsequently, he earned a Master of Science in national resource strategy from the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy in 1996. Mr. Frankie has continued to grow his knowledge base with numerous certifications, such as talent optimization from The Predictive Index, professional project management from New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, and biofuels educator licensing from the American Biofuels Council.

As a commitment to both his current field and his military record, Mr. Frankie has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He maintains membership in multiple groups, including Disabled American Veterans, the West Point Association of Graduates, the InfraGard Houston Members Alliance, the Academy B2B Network and the Association of Quartermasters. Mr. Frankie sits on the board of the West Point Society of Greater Houston and served as its president for two years. He has previously held membership in the Green Beret Foundation and the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and he has embraced public speaking through Toastmasters International. In 2021, he gave the keynote speech for a Veterans Day event with the Oklahoma City Pipeliners.

Mr. Frankie has received a lengthy list of accolades commemorating his accomplishments. In 2023, he was listed as one of the Top 50 Global Thought Leaders and Influencers on Careers and as one of the Top 15 LinkedIn Experts in Houston. Mr. Frankie was presented the Gold Award from the Dan Poynter Global E-Book Competition in 2017 for his guide “LinkedIn: The 5-Minute Drill for Executive Networking Success.” His military honors include a Distinguished Service Medal, a Commendation Medal, a Defense Superior Service Medal, a Joint Service Commendation Medal and a Bronze Star. Mr. Frankie also earned honors from multiple foreign government allies during his military service, including France, Germany and South Korea.

Beyond his career, Mr. Frankie is a dedicated father and husband to two sons. He enjoys traveling and finding ways to help people in his free time. With pride for his ability to seamlessly transition from an accomplished military career to a successful professional life, Mr. Frankie credits his success to his strong, transparent communication style and his desire to assist others. He intends to continue fulfilling that desire in the future as he moves forward with his coaching career. Mr. Frankie has expanded JFIII Associate’s offerings, advising more than 600 clients in 14 different countries. His goal is to continue adding to those numbers and to use that pedigree to attract more high-profile organizations and individuals who could benefit from his guidance.
