With over four decades of experience to her credit, Ms. Urbancik has dedicated herself to the fields of innovation and community engagement. She currently excels as the owner of No Sugar Momma, where she focuses on educating and empowering individuals to make mindful choices about their diet including her speciality of snacks and desserts. She emphasizes that food not only satisfies hunger but also nurtures the spirit and reflects self-love. Through her interactions with customers, she conveys that enjoying treats can still align with serious health considerations. Her mission is to help individuals understand how their dietary choices impact their overall well-being, from physical health to mental clarity and emotional balance.
Throughout her career, Ms. Urbancik has worked in various industries, including as an internet technology director of cyber security and infrastructure projects at Exelon from 2012 to 2016 and as director of merger integration at Exelon from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, she was the enterprise infrastructure projects manager at Exelon from 2010 to 2012, cyber security projects manager from 2005 to 2010, enterprise IT planner from 2001 to 2005, communications and change management specialist from 1999 to 2001, and communications and change management analyst from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, she worked as a customer service supervisor at ComEd from 1991 to 1997 and in marketing and public relations at the YMCA from 1988 to 1991. She has also served as an instructor of speech communication and television production at Illinois State University, as a newspaper reporter for the Daily Vidette, and as a news photographer and studio technician for TV10 News.
Additionally, Ms. Urbancik has contributed to works such as her master’s degree research on “Touch Sensitivity: Potential Mediating Factor Between Nonverbal Involvement and Compliance” and has been featured as a women-owned small business in Canvas Rebel Magazine and on CUTV News. She is dedicated to her community, serving as vice president of McHenry County ECO Farm, a sponsor of Humanity and Earth Initiatives, and a volunteer at Body and Brain. No Sugar Momma, founded on the principle of giving back, dedicates 10% of its profits to initiatives supporting humanity and the Earth.
Ms. Urbancik has achieved significant milestones in her career, including implementing NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection, Version 5 Standards at Exelon. She also established a project management office to track security projects designed to support technology enablement and business process integration across multiple entities and managed merger integration in technology and business processes at Exelon since 2012. In light of her impressive undertakings, she has earned several accolades, including the Exelon Excellence Awards in 1995, 2000, and 2013, the Greater Joliet Area YMCA Employee of the Month in 1989, and the Daily Vidette Reporter of the Month in 1986. Additionally, she received Small Business Awards from the Lake County Small Business Association this year.
Laying a foundation for her success, Ms. Urbancik holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication with a minor in public relations and a master’s degree in communications, both from Illinois State University. She is also a certified project management professional and is pursuing a Woman-Owned Business Certification. Additionally, she is a certified health coach, life coach, and Reiki Master. She attributes her success to being open to the opportunities and resources available in her current situation and co-creating with others on behalf of the highest good of all.She believes in leveraging resources and connecting with people around her to support humanity and Earth, valuing ingenuity and the belief that everything happens for a reason to make us learn and grow. Looking ahead, she envisions expanding her philanthropic efforts on No Sugar Momma to engage with diverse groups and determine where financial support can make the most significant difference. She is a proud sponsor of the incredible movie based on ancient healing principles called Love Heals which is running on PBS stations across the United States and on the Gaia network.
