With nearly four decades of experience, Ms. Cox has established herself in the field of creative design, specializing in leadership, research, client education, and effective communication. In graphic design, she excels in brand identity, marketing and advertising, user interface and user experience design, and print design. She possesses hard skills in print management, administration, fulfillment, illustration, typography, and painting and is proficient in tools such as Figma and Constant Contact. She currently excels as the founder and creative director of V Design LLC, a role she has held since 1996. In this role, she is responsible for developing the overall creative vision for projects, leading a team of designers, writers, and artists, generating innovative ideas for advertising campaigns and branding initiatives, and collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop creative solutions. She also manages the creative process from concept to execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. She reviews and approves creative materials to maintain brand consistency and stays updated on industry trends to incorporate new ideas and techniques. Additionally, she pitches creative concepts, manages budgets and resources, fosters a collaborative work environment, and resolves any creative challenges that arise during projects.
Throughout her career, Ms. Cox has held other notable positions, including creative director at Mycoff Advertising, television programming designer at WGBH, and conceptual designer at Big Blue Dot. She has also worked as a print production manager and designer at PJA Marketing & Advertising, a technical illustrator and production intern at Cleary Graphics, and a packaging design intern at David O’Chase. She was president and board member of Friends of Belmont High School Soccer, on the School Advisory Committee at Belmont High School, and as a brand developer and graphic designer for the Foundation for Belmont Education. Her civic engagements include roles with Planned Parenthood and being the first-ever charity marathon runner for Visiting Nurse Association Care. She is a member of organizations such as the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Boston Marathon Association, and the National Audubon Society. Laying a foundation for her future success she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in communication design from Syracuse University and is currently studying anatomy at the Brookbush Institute.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Cox has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Ninth Wave Award and the Monadnock Paper Award of Excellence for Standard and Poor’s “Show Me The Money” campaign, and a Bronze Award from the Broadcast Designers Association for her work on WGBH LearningSmith. She attributes her success to her constant desire to learn and grow, believing that there is always more to discover, emphasizing that unlike those who feel content at the top, she thrives on setting new goals and challenges for herself. In the coming years, she is dedicated to remaining deeply involved in her art, particularly working with Canvas, and continuing to connect and collaborate with people. When mentoring young professionals, she emphasizes the importance of observing and drawing inspiration from nature, believing that every necessary color palette and design pattern can be found in the world around us.
