Dale I. Dirkes, President and Executive Consultant at DIAD Consulting, Inc. A.K.A. DIAD Business Management Consulting, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business administration.
With decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Dirkes has excelled as the president and executive consultant with DIAD Consulting Inc., also known as DIAD Business Management Consulting, since 2010. In these positions, he provides professional development and leadership training to small to medium-sized businesses to aid their employees with time management, sales, performance, and contributions. Moreover, Mr. Dirkes helps these companies as an outreach instructor with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and notably developed the concept of the balance of expertise.
Prior to this position, Mr. Dirkes was active the project director for Strategic Business Partners from 2002 to 2004, the director of finance, safety and administration with Mauro Construction from 2004 to 2007, a senior consultant with DIAD Business Management Consulting from 2007 to 2008, and the vice president of operations with Oxford Builders from 2008 to 2010. He previously served as the director of corporate quality for MCI/Verizon between 1985 and 1994, a mathematics teacher with Kentucky Community and Technical College between 1994 and 2000, and a project executive with CommStruction International between 2000 and 2002. Mr. Dirkes began his career with the U.S. Army, advancing from the rank of company commander to captain between 1980 and 1985.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Dirkes pursued an education at Loyola University Chicago, from which he earned a Master of Science in psychology and industrial psychology in 1979. In the years that followed, he built upon his skill set with an advanced management certification from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in 1989, continuing education certifications in quality management from Dr. W. Edwards Deming’s Quality in the Service Industry Program in 1992 and Quality, Productivity & Competitive Posture Program in 1993, a construction electricity certification from KVAT in 1999, and a construction carpentry certification. He concluded his formal studies at Almeda University San Juan in 2005, graduating with a Master of Business Administration. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Dirkes obtained his certifications as an outreach instructor from OSHA in 2014 and a food manager by the Texas Health Regulatory Agency in 2015.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Dirkes has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his immediate circles. Since 2020, he has been appointed as the treasurer of the Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. Between 1973 and 2004, he contributed to the American Red Cross as a blood donor. Furthermore, he has been affiliated with such organizations as The American Legion, The American Cancer Society, and The International Brotherhood of Magicians. Mr. Dirkes has found success with his written works as well, having penned “Setting SMART Goals” in 2010, “15 Disastrous Mistakes Common in Business Management” in 2013, “The 12 Golden Rules of People Management” in 2013, “10 Key Quality Management Principle” in 2013, and “The Balanced Wheel of Expertise – 12 Essential Disciplines” in 2018, among others.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Dirkes has accrued several accolades throughout his career. As a testament to his stellar military service, the U.S. Army presented him with a Service Ribbon, an Achievement Medal with an Oak Leaf Cluster, a Distinguished Military Graduate Award, multiple Meritorious Service Medals, and a Commendation Medal with an Oak Leaf Cluster. He was additionally recognized for Training and Leadership Excelled by Associated General Contractors in 2009. In 2010, Mr. Dirkes was celebrated as the Houston Builder of the Year by ABC.
Mr. Dirkes is renowned in his field for his self-sufficient nature, which enabled him to lay the foundation for his exceptional work ethic. Having joined the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps to help pay his way through college, he cites his military experience as an invaluable resource that helped him prioritize empathy, accountability, and dependability as the tenets of his career. Among the many highlights of his career, he is incredibly proud of saving a company in Long Branch, Texas, that was facing seizure and ultimately allowed them to turn their business into a profitable and knowledgeable enterprise. Looking toward the future, Mr. Dirkes hopes to secure more local projects and acquire new clients while dedicating his spare time to his wonderful children.
