With over three and a half decades of experience, Mr. Perry has built a distinguished career in recruitment and human resources. He has excelled as an executive recruiter and managing partner in C-suite recruitment with Perry-Martel International Inc. since 2004 and has served as the chief executive officer and managing partner at the same company since 1988. Additionally, he is the founder and chief creative officer at Guerrilla Job Search, a role he has held since 2005. His previous notable positions with the company include executive recruiter for advanced technology from 1998 to 2004, executive headhunter from 1994 to 1997, and executive recruiter for engineering, sales, and construction from 1993 to 1998. He co-founded MyNewJobHunt.com in 2017 and served as vice president of sales and headhunter at ConsulPro from 1986 to 1988. Mr. Perry has been a member of the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance as chief talent officer since 2018, served as vice chairman of the Canadian Technology Human Resources Board from 2002 to 2004, and was an executive board member at the Software Human Resources Council, Information and Communications Technology Council, from 1997 to 2002. Additionally, he acted as a catalyst and board member at the Public Safety and Security Forum, and Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance from 1991 to 2007, founded Put America Back to Work in 2009 and served on the board of directors for Women in Communications and Technology from 2016 to 2019. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and industrial relations from McGill University in 1982. In recognition of his achievements, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013, was named Top Emerging Search Firm in 2022, and won Best Financial Book for “Guerrilla Marketing for Job Hunters,” awarded by Kiplinger.
In the coming years, Mr. Perry is dedicated to repaying a group of unknown American surgeons who saved his life in 1971 while his family was stationed at the United States Airforce Academy. He is determined to honor their kindness by writing books designed to help Western companies, particularly American businesses, maximize their profitability through innovative leadership. His first book, “Revolutions Need Leaders: How the Fourth Industrial Revolution has Changed the Rules of the Leadership and Recruiting Game.” The goal of this book is to shine a light on the path that will enable an organization to see beyond what they have known and realize the benefits of the 4.0 World. Additionally, he is working on the fourth edition of “Guerrilla Marketing for Job Hunters,” which focuses on teaching individuals how to effectively market themselves to potential employers and understand their value in the job market.
