Prior to these posts, she was active as the executive director of Dress for Success Seattle from 2007 to 2009, the director of development for The Sophia Way in Bellevue, Washington from 2011 to 2014, and the equity director for Columbia Legal Services in Seattle from 2013 to 2018. Beyond her primary responsibilities, she has contributed to The Tubman Center for Health & Freedom in Seattle as a volunteer. Dr. Majors has found success with her creative endeavors as well, having hosted the podcast “All Things Grace with Dr. Majors” and authored “Trust the Process: Reflections of a Nonprofit Race Equity Movement” in 2018, “(G)race Equity: Reimagining Equity in the Workplace” in 2022, and “CONFLICT AT WORK: G.R.A.C.E. Your Way to Resolution” in 2024.

To support her professional ambitions, Dr. Majors has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the City University of Seattle in 1996, a master’s degree in transformational leadership from Seattle University in 2011, and a Doctor of Education in organizational leadership from Seattle University in 2015. She has attributed her wealth of success to her integrity, her belief in her work, and her optimistic mindset. Among the highlights of her career, she is incredibly proud of leading change for the policies and practices of the Columbia Legal Services, which she details in her acclaimed book, “Trust the Process.” Looking toward the future, Dr. Majors hopes to shift her practice from travel-based training and fieldwork to an online curriculum where she can reach more people and remain flexible in her process.
