He currently serves as the senior tax director at RSM US LLP, a position he has held since 2014. RSM US LLP is a leading provider of audit, tax, and consulting services, focusing on serving middle-market businesses in the United States. In this capacity, he leads his team, mentors staff, and seeks new business opportunities. His previous experience includes serving as vice president and head of tax practice at Credit Suisse and UBS from 2005 to 2014, tax manager at Deloitte and Northern Trust, and adjunct instructor at Columbia College Chicago and DePaul University.
Mr. Fellin maintains memberships with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, and the University Club of Chicago. He is also a lifetime associate and past president of the Ledger & Quill at DePaul University, serves on the Athletic Advisory Board at DePaul University, and has been a former executive board member of the Driehaus College of Business and Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University. Additionally, he is a supporter of both DePaul University and Northwestern University and has established a scholarship endowment at DePaul University. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has received Benefactor Recognition from DePaul University in 2018 and the Father John T. Richardson Award from DePaul University in 2016. Laying a solid educational foundation for these successes, he earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from DePaul University in 1980 and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Reflecting on his career, Mr. Fellin takes great pride in having established the Edward J. Fellin, CPA Endowed Scholarship at DePaul University in 2015, which provides crucial financial support to student-athletes specializing in accountancy. He also managed a $3 billion family relationship at Credit Suisse for a decade and transitioned it to RSM, where he continued to oversee it for an additional seven years. He attributes his success to his unwavering commitment, perseverance, and diligent effort. He also takes great pride in being the first member of his family to pursue higher education and self-funding his college education. In the coming years, he is committed to fostering the advancement and success of his subordinates, having successfully facilitated the promotion of four individuals.
