She furthered her academic credentials with a Bachelor of Arts in management information systems and finance from the University of Houston, followed by a Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin in 2008. Her professional development continued with certifications in Leading with Impact and Executive Leadership from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, the Harvard Business Analytics Program at Harvard University, and the Women in Leadership program from Irvine Technology Corporation.
Mrs. Sampson takes great pride in her significant impact on the field of observability, a cutting-edge technology. She has successfully adapted observability, typically associated with software, to enhance factory operations, leading to the creation of innovative products. She attributes her success to her strong desire for continuous learning and intellectual curiosity. Her remarkable perseverance is also notable, especially in overcoming challenges such as her family background, financial difficulties, and the hardships she faced as a first-generation immigrant in China. Her tenacity and resilience were evident during her 10 years of living independently in the United States before getting married, navigating numerous obstacles with determination.
In the coming years, Ms. Sampson aims to focus on both personal and professional growth. She envisions expanding her responsibilities within her current role and is actively planning for her post-retirement career.
