With nearly two decades of experience, Mrs. Davis-Richards has built a successful career in real estate, specializing in residential sales and customer service. She has thrived as the broker and owner of D.R. Indiana Realty LLC since 2010, assisting buyers in finding their ideal homes, helping sellers upgrade or downsize, and guiding investors in buying or selling properties. Mrs. Davis-Richards also serves as a Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC) trustee on the Indiana Association of Realtors, currently chairing the position for the year. In this role, she oversees candidate interviews and decides on the allocation of RPAC funds. At the national level, she contributes to the Campaign Services Trustee Committee for the National Association of Realtors, where she helps determine the distribution of RPAC funds. Her experience in customer service also includes serving as a flight attendant for 15 years. She also volunteered with Greenfield Area Soccer Club for many years.
Mrs. Davis-Richards holds several key positions and memberships in the real estate and community service sectors. She currently serves as chair of the RPAC for the Indiana Association of Realtors and is a member of the campaign services trustee committee for the National Association of Realtors. Her leadership roles include having served as president of the Realtors Association of Central Indiana, and she is affiliated with both the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors Association and the Board of Appeals for the City of Peru. Additionally, she chairs and trustees for RPAC and volunteers with the United Way, Peru First Baptist Church, and various community outreach committees. She is also active with the Waterford Church of Christ in Taylorsville, Kentucky. In light of her impressive undertakings, she was honored as Realtor of the Year in 2016. She attributes her success to her commitment to personalized customer service and building strong interpersonal connections. In an era where many interactions have become impersonal, she values the importance of face-to-face communication. She feels that genuine customer service has taken a downturn in today’s society and hopes to see its resurgence.
In the coming years, Mrs. Davis-Richards aims to increase her involvement at the national level over the next five to 10 years to improve the perception and professionalism of realtors. She believes that realtors have been unfairly criticized and misunderstood and wants to change that. Her goal is to highlight that realtors are small business owners working hard to provide value to their clients and communities. She emphasizes the importance of rebuilding the reputation of realtors and promoting their positive impact and is committed to being an active part of this positive momentum. Additionally, she is planning for her retirement, and she and her husband have purchased a lake property and are set to begin construction on it. As she prepares for retirement, she aims to ensure that her business operations are fully developed and optimized, and her focus will include expanding her real estate presence and engaging in property management in Glasgow, Kentucky an area near Bowling Green. Mrs. Davis-Richards has been married for over thirty years to Mark Richards and has two grown adult children, Merideth Book and Benton Richards. She also has two wonderful grandchildren, Cooper and Mila.
