With years of experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Bartow initially earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from Vassar College in 1998. He began his career soon thereafter as an assistant manager at the Yankees Clubhouse Shop in 1999. Later in the same year, he assumed ownership of his family business, the Eugene A. Bartow Insurance Agency, with which he has found much success. During this time, he obtained his certification as a Professional Insurance Agent from the AIMS Society in 2018, underscoring his commitment to continuous professional development. Since 2020, he has excelled as the executive vice president at Bartow Insurance, overseeing the agency’s growth and communicating directly with clients to place insurance for larger accounts.
Mr. Bartow has been involved in civic and community leadership as well. Since 2023, he has served as the chairman of the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in New York. His long-standing commitment to philanthropy is additionally evident in his work with the UJA-Federation of New York, where he has been appointed as a board member of the Long Island Insurance Division since 2011 and a member of the Long Island Advisory Committee since 2018. Additionally, he dedicates his time and attention to youth sports, having been active with the Half Hollow Hills Little League as a coach since 2016 and a board member from 2019 to 2022. He previously worked as a timekeeper for Dix Hills Mites Youth Hockey and in various roles with Vassar College.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bartow has accrued numerous accolades, including the Distinguished Service Award from PIANY-YIP in 2018 and recognition as the Volunteer of the Year from the New York Young Insurance Professionals in 2013. His success has been rooted in his exceptional ability to help clients navigate their business insurance needs while matching them with the right carriers. Looking toward the future, Mr. Bartow hopes to expand Bartow Insurance before eventually passing the reins to his children to continue the family legacy.
