He previously served in multiple posts with Barclays, including as an investment banking associate from 2014 to 2016 and the vice president from 2016 to 2018. Moreover, Mr. Elskes was recruited as an investment banking associate with Citi, formerly known as Citigroup Inc., between 2013 and 2014.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Elskes pursued an education at Southern Methodist University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in business in 2007. He subsequently began his career at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP as a summer associate in 2008 and 2009 and an associate from 2011 to 2012, a tenure in which he similarly worked as a summer associate with Vinson & Elkins LLP in 2009. Mr. Elskes concluded his studies at the University of Texas at Austin in 2010, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence with honors.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Elskes has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his immediate circles. In the interest of supporting his community, he has contributed to the Episcopal Church of Good Shepherd as a member. He has also provided his wealth of knowledge to his industry at-large, having penned articles to The Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law. Mr. Elskes has been additionally affiliated with various honor societies over the years, such as The International Legal Honor Society of Phi Delta Phi, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Golden Key International Honour Society, and Alpha Lambda Delta.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Elskes has accrued several accolades throughout his career. In 2002, he was recognized as a finalist for the National Merit Scholarship Program. In the following year, he was distinguished as a President’s Scholar by Southern Methodist University. Mr. Elskes was likewise selected for the Rotunda Scholarship by the aforementioned university during his inaugural year of study.
Among the myriad highlights of his career, Mr. Elskes is incredibly proud of the significant impact of his work in southern New Mexico, as his focus on early investment yielded impressive returns for Wings Resources LLC. As such, this work also garnered outstanding results for their investors, limited partners, and their pension fund, making strides toward a secure future for their company and its employees. In the coming years, he aims to expand the operations for Wings Resources LLC, including diversifying their output to include battery storage towers that will help address increasing demands of electricity in Texas. Although Texas harbors ample natural gas reserves, Mr. Elskes hopes to usher the company into great new heights in the power sector, specifically regarding alternative power sources.
