Terrence Ceulemans, MSChemE, owner and president of AtWork St. Paul, and president and chief executive officer of C&C Staffing Services LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in staffing and consulting.
Building on 30 years of experience, Mr. Ceulemans has embraced a new path as an entrepreneur. The first 29 years of his professional life were spent with 3M, where he worked in various technical, marketing and supervision roles beginning in 1994. By 2003, Mr. Ceulemans had been promoted to country general manager of consumer business for his home country of Belgium. Later, he contributed to 3M as the European business manager of the stationery products division, the European technical manager of the materials resource division, the regional research and development head, and the general manager of research and development. In 2015, Mr. Ceulemans immigrated from Belgium to the United States and took on the positions of global vice president of research and development and technical director of automotive and aerospace solutions.
While serving in these executive roles at 3M in 2018, Mr. Ceulemans experienced a career milestone when he and his team developed a technical solution to prevent battery fires in electrical vehicles. In addition to making cutting-edge car technology around the world safer, this breakthrough led to major business deals for 3M. Following that, Mr. Ceulemans’ ascent through 3M continued as he accepted the responsibilities of senior director of global application engineering for transportation and electronics in 2019 and the same position for the abrasive systems division in 2020.
Though he experienced great success at 3M, Mr. Ceulemans felt drawn to starting his own company that could make a positive impact on people. With that in mind, he partnered with AtWork Group to launch AtWork St. Paul, where he now serves as the owner and president. In this role, Mr. Ceulemans works with clients to identify staffing needs and helps them find solutions. Concurrently with this role, he offers his guidance as the president and chief executive officer of C&C Staffing Services LLC. Through C&C Staffing, he leverages the expertise he gained over decades at 3M to offer consulting services for companies in such industries as material sciences, automotive, aerospace and chemicals.
Mr. Ceulemans’ performance in the field was born of his academic journey, beginning with coursework toward a Master of Business Administration from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in 1990. Mr. Ceulemans remained at that institution to earn a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering with a focus on chemical process engineering in 1993. He has further bolstered his credentials by completing numerous certifications. Mr. Ceulemans is certified in marketing management through the Vlerick Business School, multiple leadership development programs through 3M, growth leader insights from Produgie and many more.
To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Ceulemans has been given a number of accolades. While at 3M, he was presented with the 3M Golden Step Award and invited to join the 3M Grit for Growth Legends Club and the 3M Circle of Technical Excellence and Innovation. Mr. Ceulemans is also a recipient of the Golden Step Award. He credits his mentors and role models and his entrepreneurial mindset for his success.
Beyond his career, Mr. Ceulemans is a dedicated husband and father to two children. In his free time, he enjoys taking long walks in nature with his family and volunteering with Feed My Starving Children. Looking to the future, Mr. Ceulemans is focused on building AtWork St. Paul into a successful venture, beginning with opening the company’s first physical office in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He plans to open a second location in Richfield, Minnesota in the near future and aspires to expand the business to new territories, such as Wisconsin and Illinois. Mr. Ceulemans also hopes to get his wife and son involved with the business while his daughter pursues a career in science.
