In light of his impressive achievements, Mr. Texier Vellema has been honored with three Creative Lions Awards for Gillette, several internal awards from Procter & Gamble, the Integer Homo Award from Cumbres Schools, and publishing awards for his university thesis from Universidad Simón Bolívar. He laid a solid educational foundation with a bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, and communications engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar in Venezuela in 2008, and a master’s degree in political economics from Swiss Management Center University in 2017. He takes great pride in making Oral B the number one electric toothbrush brand in the U.S. and in repositioning Gillette to inspire men to be better, changing the tagline from “The best a man can get” to “The best men can be.” In the coming years, he aspires to serve as a general manager at Newell Brands and ultimately attain the position of vice president. He is also interested in pursuing a career as a university professor and plans to explore this option with universities in Atlanta after relocating there.
