Keith Farrell, strategic sourcing director at Pep Boys, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in executive operations.

With over a decade of experience, Mr. Farrell has built a successful career in executive operations, specializing in procurement and strategic purchasing. He recently moved to Pep Boys to serve as the strategic sourcing director for hard parts. His responsibilities include managing the company’s costs, contracting, employee management, and procurement of direct products. While he is involved in general procurement activities, his true expertise lies in operational purchasing and strategic procurement. He excels in developing and implementing interoperative procedures and strategies, ensuring efficient and effective procurement processes that drive organizational success.

Mr. Farrell’s experience includes serving as senior category manager of site purchasing optimization (SPO) and real estate from 2022 to 2024 at Saint-Gobain Corporation capex operations manager from 2021 to 2022, indirect operations manager from 2019 to 2022, and procurement category manager for fleet operations from 2016 to 2019. Before joining Saint-Gobain, he worked as a consultant specializing in fleet management at BEB Industrial Asset Management from 2014 to 2016 and as a fleet supervisor at The Coca-Cola Company from 2013 to 2014. His earlier career involved roles as a technician at C&H Bus Sales, i-Transit, and Daimler Buses North America from 2004 to 2012, and he also contributed as an assistant volleyball coach at Rosemont College from 2014 to 2016. He laid a solid educational foundation earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University in 2004 and a Master of Business Administration from the same institution in 2012. He also holds certification in commercial real estate from Cornell University in 2023 and a master’s certificate in advanced procurement management from Michigan State University in 2015. He has been a member of the National Association of Fleet Administrators since 2017 and the Association of Equipment Management Professionals since 2014, and he previously held membership with the Project Management Institute from 2019 to 2024.

Looking to the future, Mr. Farrell has been accepted into a Doctor of Business Administration program and hopes to begin his studies in 2025. Professionally, he aspires to continue advancing within the industry, targeting leadership positions such as vice president or CPO. When advising aspiring professionals, he emphasizes the importance of building connections beyond one’s immediate role and department. He notes that many newcomers tend to limit their interactions with their direct colleagues and work environment. Instead, he encourages reaching out to colleagues in different departments to gain a broader perspective. By fostering cross-departmental relationships, individuals can enhance their understanding of their own roles and potentially uncover new opportunities within the organization.
