He currently excels as chief executive officer and founder of Training Employment Solutions, Inc., a role he has held since 2020. Additionally, he has served as a veterans issues trainer and consultant with VetPropulsion since 2008 and as past president of the Mile High Military Officers Association. His long-standing work with Birkman International began in 1992, where he continues as a level II consultant and senior consultant, and from 2017 to 2021, he was the immediate past president of the United Veterans Coalition of Colorado.
Mr. Orr has also dedicated his expertise as chief executive partner and co-founder of ITESI Global P.B.C. from 2016 to 2020, president and chief executive officer of Colorow Consulting Inc. from 2008 to 2020, chairman of the board for Veterans Educational Services Inc. from 2014 to 2018, and board member for Veterans Green Jobs from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, he served as chairman of the board for the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra from 2007 to 2011, and as a disabled veteran outreach program specialist with the Colorado Department of Labor from 2010 to 2011.
Mr. Orr was also the chief executive officer of Beltway Government Solutions Inc. from 2007 to 2009, consultant with Orr Consulting Group LLC from 1999 to 2008, vice president at MLB from 1991 to 1999, and president, chief executive officer, facilitator, and career coach with Birkman. His career began in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a navigator and bombardier captain from 1962 to 1967. His experience and work have also been featured in the article “They are Paying Me to Do This” in Military Officers Association of America Magazine in 2024, and he authored “Seven Step Process for Organizational Design” in the AMOD Journal in 1996 and co-authored “Limited Partnerships” for RMLDA’s The Land Developer in 1972.
Since 2015, Mr. Orr has served as the military outreach coordinator for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and was president of the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra from 2009 to 2013, president of Bayaud Industries from 1980 to 1984, a board position with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce from 1975 to 1978, and president of Leadership Denver from 1974 to 1976. He has also dedicated his time as a volunteer with the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Air Force Navigator Observer Association, Military Order of the World Wars, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, and the American Clan Gregor Society.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Orr was honored with a Certificate of Recognition from the Department of Defense in 2008, a Certificate of Achievement in Transportation Planning from the Colorado Department of Transportation in 1976, the Aircraft Combat Crew Member’s Certificate from Strategic Air Command, U.S. Air Force in 1964, and a Marksman Certificate from the U.S. Air Force in 1964. Reflecting on his journey, he laid a solid educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Arts in government from Indiana University Bloomington in 1962. He also completed Level II Certification Training with Birkman in 2008, received Senior Birkman Certification in 2008, and earned Level One Certification Training with Birkman earlier in his career. He takes great pride in helping others and turning people’s lives, and attributes his success to the support of his family and mentors. In the coming years, he plans to continue with his business and remain dedicated to helping individuals and organizations succeed in their fields.
