Claudette Vogelsang, MBA, Corporate Regional Finance Director at Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in management, finance, and entertainment.
With nearly three and a half decades of experience, Ms. Vogelsang has established a successful career in management, finance, and entertainment, specializing in amusement parks. She currently serves as corporate regional finance director at Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, a role she has held since 2024, and as vice president of finance at Knott’s Berry Farm, where she has excelled since 2013. Her responsibilities comprise overseeing finance operations at both Knott’s Berry Farm and California’s Great America in the Santa Clara area, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, revenue accounting, and IT. Her tenure at Knott’s Berry Farm spans over 11 years, during which she initially joined as vice president of finance, overseeing all financial operations. Following the reorganization after COVID-19, her role expanded to include the entire trial balance, with direct reports managed through a shared accounting services team.
Ms. Vogelsang’s experience also includes various roles with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment International, where she served as vice president of finance from 2001 to 2012, executive director from 2000 to 2001, director from 1998 to 2000, finance manager from 1996 to 1998, and controller for the German division from 1991 to 1996. Additionally, she worked as an independent consultant from 2012 to 2013 and with Parker Automotive. She is an active member of various organizations, serving on the finance IT committee of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, as a member of the Hospitality Management Association, as a board member of the Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club, and as chair of its finance committee. Laying a strong educational foundation, she earned an Associate of Arts from Walla Walla Community College in Washington, a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of San Francisco, and a Master of Business Administration in international business from Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany.
Ms. Vogelsang has achieved several notable milestones throughout her career. She was featured in the Cedar Fair bulletin as part of the Women’s History Month celebration, where she participated in a leadership panel at Knott’s Berry Farm, conducting a group Q&A session with an audience. This recognition stands as one of her most significant honors, underscoring her role as a source of empowerment and pride from a female perspective. One of her operational achievements includes implementing a currency recycler at Knott’s Berry Farm. This innovative piece of equipment transformed cash handling by automating the dispensing and counting of funds, significantly reducing manual errors and saving money, and, due to the program’s success, it was adopted across all Cedar Fair parks. She has also guided the park’s transition to a cashless system, utilizing debit card machines and kiosks to accommodate cash transactions. In her earlier career, she advanced steadily at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment International, beginning as a controller in the German subsidiary office, earning promotions that took her to corporate headquarters in Los Angeles, where she ascended from manager to vice president.
Ms. Vogelsang attributes her success to having great mentors, especially during her early career in Germany, who guided her growth and development. Her perseverance through challenges and her commitment to stepping out of her comfort zone to improve have also been key to her accomplishments. Looking to the future, she is eager to be actively involved in the growth and development of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. With the recent merger, she is enthusiastic about contributing to the company’s expansion and playing a role in bringing long-discussed projects to life. Being part of these initiatives and witnessing their fruition represents a major professional goal, as she aspires to leave a lasting impact on the company’s legacy.
