G. Spencer Myers, founder of Eco Buzz Books, president of Condo Rentals Inc., and president and owner of American Payment Processors Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in writing and business.

After beginning his professional life with a brief tenure in the commercial banking world, Mr. Myers founded his first business, American Payment Processors Inc., in 1996. Since then, he has helped provide electronic payment options to merchants across the country. As part of his work with American Payment Processors Inc., Mr. Myers published the guide “25 Ways Guaranteed To Reduce the Cost of Credit Card Processing” in 2012. Through his guidance, merchants have saved up to $2000 per year. Concurrently with this, Mr. Myers has operated as the president of Condo Rentals Inc. since 2002. Through this organization, he manages multiple residential rental locations.

In addition to his business roles, Mr. Myers has built a reputation as an esteemed and prolific writer. He discovered an interest in becoming an author while vacationing in Florida in the early 1990s. He was inspired by the novel “Tourist Season” by Carl Hiaasen, a thriller that made him want to write one of his own. Though Mr. Myers had largely only written nonfiction previously, he immediately began work on his first novel and founded his own publishing company, Eco Buzz Books. After years of research, he completed his first novel, “Pest,” in 2006. The story of this book was influenced by real-world news of pesticide use leading to shocking environmental disasters.

Following the publication of “Pest,” Mr. Myers quickly established himself as a leading author in the burgeoning ecological thriller subgenre. That book’s protagonist, Derk Bryan, an investigator for the Environmental Protection Agency, returned to action in 2022’s “Dead Wrong” and will feature once more in the forthcoming “The Girl With the Red Nails.” Mr. Myers’ other published works include 2005’s “A Letter to My Grandson: Lessons of a Post-War, Hippie-Sympathizing, Eco-Friendly Entrepreneur,” in which he offers advice to the next generation. He is collaborating with the same grandson mentioned in that title for another book, “We Are Playing Roulette With Your Future,” in which he provides a stark warning about the challenges awaiting the younger generation in tackling climate change.

Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Myers sought a strong academic foundation. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting, economics and marketing from the University of Michigan in 1967. Subsequently, Mr. Myers earned a Master of Business Administration from Bowling Green State University in 1969. He is also certified as a fitness instructor from the American College of Sports Medicine and in criminal justice planning from the University of Louisville.

Beyond just writing about environmental issues, Mr. Myers is dedicated to living sustainably in his everyday life. He has worked for years to increase the energy efficiency of his house. Mr. Myers’ home was listed on the National Register of Historic Places due to being the first multifamily residence in the United States to have 400 square feet of solar panels. He views his commitment to reducing his personal carbon footprint as a way to put his values into action.

Outside of his career, Mr. Myers is a loving partner, father to three and grandfather to two. When not working, he finds joy in golfing, biking, gardening and sharing ideas with other writers. As he moves forward, Mr. Myers remains focused on addressing global warming. He hopes to educate and inspire readers to make changes in their lives that can help the planet. Mr. Myers intends to continue writing books that encourage individual choices that can help create a more sustainable world.
