Mr. Hammond is an experienced professional whose career culminated as the regional director at Frank America Inc. in Washington, D.C., in 2024, heading the U.S. branch. His role comes after being promoted from key account manager from 2023 to 2024. The German company is lauded as an international organization that specializes in manufacturing state-of-the-art museum and exhibition display cases for cultural and heritage centers, libraries, exhibitions and private collections.
As the regional director, Mr. Hammond manages client inquiries and prepares project proposals, documentation and orders. He also coordinates shipments, organizes logistics, arranges travel for job installations, and oversees all facilities within the U.S. Furthermore, Mr. Hammond is instrumental in managing client relationships.
Leveraging his former success at the Smithsonian Institution, National Air and Space Museum, also in Washington, D.C., Mr. Hammond worked as a museum specialist between 2019 and 2023. His expertise in sales and operations, project planning, and production management have been pivotal in his progress. Before his tenure at the Smithsonian, he excelled as an art and artifact handler at Crozier Fine Arts from 2018 to 2019. He also worked as an assistant registrar at Agora Gallery in 2018. Additionally, Mr. Hammond garnered experience during his college years between 2013 and 2018 in various positions both on campus, at the Quaker Heritage Center in Wilmington, Ohio, and at the Dr. M.T. Geoffrey Yeh Art Gallery in Jamaica, New York.
Highly educated, Mr. Hammond received a diploma from Eastlake North High School in 2012. Subsequently, he received a Bachelor of Arts in history and educational studies, cum laude, from Wilmington College in 2016 and a Master of Arts in museum administration from Saint John’s University in 2018. Mr. Hammond’s success in college was recognized with several accolades, including the Charles J. Ping Student Service Award from the Ohio Campus Compact in 2016. He was also recognized as an Academic All-OAC Athlete in the Ohio Athletic Conference between 2015 and 2016.
Mr. Hammond has remained affiliated with the Order of Omega Greek Honor Society and the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He is also a professional member of the American Alliance of Museums, demonstrating his commitment to remaining at the forefront of the industry. Moreover, he has been active civically, volunteering for various causes within his community. Previously, Mr. Hammond was instrumental as the service leader executive board president for the Center for Service and Civic Engagement in Wilmington, Ohio, from 2014 to 2016.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hammond’s most significant professional accomplishment was his integral role in the Smithsonian’s extensive redesign. He was critical in relocating over 2,000 items, including airplanes, and he gained immense satisfaction from his work.
Attributing much of his success to the supportive individuals he has surrounded himself with, including mentors and colleagues, Mr. Hammond is most grateful for attending a college that prioritized hands-on experience through internships. As he prepares for the future, he is eager to continue maximizing the potential of the projects he presently oversees at Frank America Inc. and help advance the company’s operations.
