Laying a solid educational foundation, Ms. Chen earned a Bachelor of Arts in computer science and electrical engineering from Brown University in 1998. She went on to complete a Master of Business Administration at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in 2005. In 2016, she also obtained a TESOL/TEFL Certificate from Seattle Pacific University. Reflecting on her path, she is passionate about product development and finds joy in creating and marketing software products that offer effective solutions to significant problems. Her interest in the field was sparked during her time in the STEM Magnet program in high school, which laid the foundation for her continued involvement in technology. Graduating in 1998, she witnessed the burgeoning potential of technology and foresaw the abundant career opportunities it would offer.
Ms. Chen takes pride in the breadth of experience she has had across the technology industry, transitioning from a highly technical role to directing product development, and ultimately finding her voice in writing about the importance and impact of software. She attributes her success to her ability to simplify complex concepts and make them accessible to others. Additionally, she credits her strong commitment to excellence in everything she produces, along with her collaborative approach to achieving common goals. Additionally, she is dedicated to continually challenging herself and embracing new learning experiences. Looking ahead, she is exploring fresh opportunities, including the possibility of writing a book or working with startups, a field she is particularly passionate about.
