Ms. Valencia’s experience also includes senior director of business planning and operations at Visa Inc. from 2018 to 2022, and business planning and operations for GMCG/EU at Visa from 2017 to 2018. She worked in admissions at Columbia Business School from 2016 to 2017 and founded and managed Untangled, a food and wine events company, from 2012 to 2015. She was a marketing communications manager for Latin America at GE Security from 2007 to 2009, administrative manager for Tampa Cargo’s Miami base from 2006 to 2007, talent supply and training manager at Procter & Gamble from 2005 to 2006. and learning and performance analyst at Citibank from 2004 to 2005. She also dedicates her time as an event lead for the New York City Wine & Food Festival to benefit the Food Bank For New York City since 2012 and volunteering with City Harvest’s Mobile Markets since 2011. She is also a former volunteer for No Kid Hungry New York and continues to volunteer with Visa.
Laying a strong educational foundation, Ms. Valencia earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Universidad de Los Andes in 2005, followed by a grand diploma in baking and pastry arts from the International Culinary Center in 2012, where she was on the dean’s list. She further pursued a diploma in international bread baking from the same institution in 2013. She completed her Master of Business Administration at Columbia Business School in 2016, where she also achieved dean’s list honors and was a scholarship recipient at Procter & Gamble in 2005.
