With nearly four decades of experience, Mr. Pintozzi has established a successful career in financial planning and analysis, culminating in his retirement as senior vice president of accounting special projects at Allstate Insurance Company in 2024. His tenure at Allstate included roles such as senior vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer from 2019 to 2024, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Allstate Investments from 2012 to 2019, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Allstate Financial from 2005 to 2012, and vice president from 2002 to 2005. Prior to his career at Allstate, he worked as an audit associate at Deloitte from 1987 to 2002. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Northern Illinois University in 1987, a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1997 and is currently pursuing coursework in culinary studies at Kendall College.
Mr. Pintozzi also dedicates his time serving on the board of trustees for the Goodman Theatre since 2022, the board of trustees for the Chicago Architecture Foundation since 2008, the board of managers for the Boys & Girls Club of Logan Square since 2008, and as a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. Additionally, at Allstate, he was a champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion, serving as an executive sponsor for employee impact groups and a mentor. He takes great pride in effectively rationalizing the product channel, product portfolio, and distribution channels to enhance profitability at Allstate. On the investment team, he played a critical role in a substantial system overhaul and served as an active member of the investment committee. As chief financial officer, he also led a transformative initiative to increase the allocation to private assets, marking a significant shift in the portfolio mix.
Mr. Pintozzi attributes his success to a strong sense of curiosity, encouraging others to always ask questions, explore, and seek deeper understanding. He values tenacity and perseverance as essential qualities and emphasizes the importance of hard work and focus in achieving goals. For him, prioritization is critical, as it involves concentrating on specific objectives and avoiding the pitfalls of spreading efforts too thin across numerous activities or people. Looking to the future, he plans to remain actively engaged with his not-for-profit board commitments while exploring new ways to contribute to society. He is considering participation in programs such as the leadership and society initiative at the University of Chicago and the Distinguished Careers Institute at Stanford.
