He currently serves as the electronic payments team lead for RTP, ACH, and WIRE at City National Bank, a role he has held since 2023, and as vice president of faster payments at City National Bank since 2020. His responsibilities include managing a team of colleagues, overseeing both low-value and high-value electronic payment systems, and guiding the day-to-day operations of his team. Additionally, he oversees the product cycle and daily product management activities, empowering his direct reports to act as chief executive officers for their respective products. His experience also includes vice president and product manager for emerging payments, including RTP and Zelle, at KeyBank from 2018 to 2020, and as senior product manager for payables and receivables strategy at Fiserv from 2015 to 2018.
At U.S. Bank, Mr. Csutak held positions as global treasury management product manager from 2010 to 2015 and in new product development from 2008 to 2010. His earlier roles include assistant vice president and implementation manager at LaSalle Bank from 2006 to 2008, project manager at Kforce Professional Staffing in 2008, and production support engineer at ABN AMRO Bank from 1997 to 2002. He has also dedicated time to the sporting community, serving as a head official for USAT Triathlon from 2001 to 2011. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned an Associate of Science in application programming from the College of DuPage in 2003 and a Bachelor of Science in information systems from DePaul University in 2010. He also has certifications in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology from the University of California, Berkeley, both in 2022. Additionally, he holds a product pragmatic marketing certification from The Pragmatic Marketing Framework.
Mr. Csutak has also contributed to the field as a co-author of “Smart Instant Payments: Transforming Commerce and Banking in the New Era of US Instant Payments” and as a frequent speaker at conferences, sharing insights on faster payments and industry advancements. He has volunteered as a head referee for USAT from 2001 to 2013 and actively participates as a member of two councils for the Faster Payment Movement in the United States. Since 2017, he has been invited to present at the Real-Time Payments Summit, highlighting his expertise in this evolving field. Additionally, he takes great pride in having developed the Master Payment Professional Certification, a new professional payment credential for the U.S., which is set to be published and owned by the National Automated Clearing House Association.
