A respected figure in the pest control industry, Mr. Autieri has excelled as the director of corporate operations at Big Blue Bug Solutions since 2022. In this position, he has been responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of company buildings, managing inventory, and coordinating with department supervisors. His responsibilities also involve vendor management, overseeing training and continuing education, and maintaining relationships with state branches. Mr. Autieri’s leadership extends to managing a team of 15 members and liaising with the company’s chief executive officer and chief financial officer on a quarterly basis.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Autieri worked as the wildlife division manager at Big Blue Bug Solutions from 2013 to 2022. During this time, he established a new division from scratch, achieving significant success and imparting his knowledge to new employees. He previously served as a wildlife specialist at Reliable Pest Control RI from 2010 to 2013, where he honed his skills in addressing wildlife intrusions and providing solutions to homeowners.
Mr. Autieri began his career with Critter Control of Rhode Island, initially serving as a wildlife technician from 1993 to 2003. He subsequently found success at the aforementioned company as a service manager from 2003 to 2006 and as general manager from 2006 to 2010, posts in which he was instrumental in operational management and customer service excellence. Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Autieri obtained his high school diploma and completed college-level coursework on a thousand dollar academic scholarship to support his ambitions in his field.
In addition to his primary contributions to his field, Mr. Autieri is an active member of the National Wildlife Control Operators Association and the National Pest Management Association. His commitment to community service is evident through his involvement with Remembering Our Veterans at Christmas, where he donates gifts and clothing. His expertise in organization, attention to detail, and troubleshooting has been recognized throughout his career, having received several internal awards for his exceptional efforts in his industry.
Renowned for his determination and his responsible nature, Mr. Autieri attributes much of his success to the lessons learned from his father and the essential guidance from an older cousin who introduced him to the industry. His loving wife has been a significant influence in his life as well, providing unwavering support throughout their marriage. He remains passionate about teaching and influencing others within his field, as he believes the feedback he receives in these endeavors is tremendously rewarding. Although some may perceive him as unapproachable due to his serious demeanor, Mr. Autieri has greatly prioritized safety, knowledge, and customer perception in all of his work.
Mr. Autieri was drawn to his field by coincidence, having hunted and caught snakes during his formative years. He would eventually decide to seek a career in his field by his own financial responsibilities, having needed to afford insurance for his first car as a teenager. Among his many accomplishments over the years, he fondly recalls his decision to join Big Blue Bug Solutions, as it has enabled him to redefine his legacy and help those in need in a greater capacity. Looking toward the future, Mr. Autieri envisions himself advancing within Big Blue Bug Solutions and initiating top-of-the-line classes that will allow him to better share his expertise with others.
