Frank (Taihe) Liu, president and founder of World Harmony Foundation and founder and chief executive officer at Ask Congress, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in philanthropy.

Mr. Liu has established a distinguished career as a philanthropist and social activist, earning recognition as a visionary Chinese American leader. He currently serves as the president and founder of the World Harmony Foundation, established in 2004, and as the founder and chief executive officer of Ask Congress TV, a role he has held since 2005. Through these platforms, he has dedicated his career to fostering global harmony and sustainable development. Based in New York City, he has spent the past 20 years leading the foundation’s mission to promote peace and environmental sustainability worldwide. He laid a solid educational foundation for these endeavors, earning a bachelor’s degree from Xiamen University in China, a Master of Business Administration from Webber International University in 1989, and an Executive Master of Business Administration in economics and finance from Columbia University in 1997.

Mr. Liu’s first major project, initiated over two decades ago, involved utilizing American technology to transform the Mongolian Desert into a green oasis. This effort not only mitigated desertification but also established the area as a flagship site for the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Environment Programme. Additionally, he has made significant contributions to international charity, including raising $1 billion to build an airport in Ghana and advancing artificial intelligence technology in China. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in introducing AT&T’s telecommunications system to establish China’s mobile phone network. He has also been instrumental in strengthening Chinese-U.S. relations through high-level cultural, diplomatic, and economic exchanges.

Mr. Liu takes great pride in his role in creating the World Harmony Bell during the United Nations’ 60th anniversary. As the first Asian NGO to join the UN, the foundation sponsored the design and production of the bell, a symbol of harmony and peace. Its inaugural ringing, witnessed by 21 vice presidents of the UN General Assembly and 193 UN mission ambassadors, marked a historic moment in advancing international unity. His contributions to education, public security modernization, environmental sustainability, and diplomacy have earned him accolades such as the Peace Award and the Lifetime Volunteer Award. Additionally, in 2007, he was appointed as the Global Forum Spokesperson for the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs. He attributes his success to a lifelong aspiration to better society. Looking to the future, he is determined to continue his efforts to be a champion of global efforts to combat war, pollution, global warming, and hunger, while raising charitable funds to support those in need and promote a sustainable future.
