Dr. Barnett is lauded for her work in public speaking and authorship as the founder of Pathway Forward Mentoring, a company she launched in 2022. After working in education for 30 years as a teacher, principal and school administrator, she has found success in her new role, where she has the opportunity to inspire, innovate and motivate others. Leveraging her former success and her history of mentoring teachers and athletes, Dr. Barnett continues to guide and develop others in a very different capacity.
Highly educated, Dr. Barnett holds a Bachelor of Science in art studies from Tennessee State University since 1985, a Master of Education in educational leadership from the University of North Texas since 1995 and a Doctor of Education from the University of Phoenix since 2021. She has remained active with the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs Inc. and the North Texas Business and Professional Women’s League.
In addition to her career endeavors, Dr. Barnett authored the award-winning book “Walking in Your Purpose: Empowering You to Walk in Your Purpose and Have Confidence That You Are Enough.” The book was the foundation for her work at Pathway Forward Mentoring and earned her an International Impact Book Award Winner in the categories of female empowerment, personal growth and development and book cover design. “Walking in Your Purpose” was designed to help individuals identify their unique talents and guide them to better understand their true purpose. Drawing significant rewards from her latest endeavors, Dr. Barnett’s goal is to continue positively impacting others in the future and influencing multigenerational leadership.
