Sandra Lewis, MAPP, PCC, president of Positive Shift Coaching LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in executive coaching.
With three decades of experience, Ms. Lewis has built a successful career in executive coaching, currently excelling as president and executive coach at Positive Shift Coaching LLC since 2014, executive coach at Silicon Valley Change Executive Coaching since 2014, and human resources instructor at Duke University Continuing Education since 2015. In these positions, her responsibilities involve coaching executives and leaders and assisting vice presidents and senior leaders seeking career advancement. She also leverages her human resources background to support executives and attorneys dealing with lawsuits and harassment allegations. She excels at helping leaders improve their effectiveness and strengthen their roles, while also collaborating with their teams to enhance organizational culture.
Ms. Lewis’ career includes executive coach at The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University from 2018 to 2019, vice president of human resources at Illumina from 2010 to 2014, adjunct professor of applied psychology at Champlain College and Franklin University from 2008 to 2014, and director of human resources at ipCapital Group from 2001 to 2010. She also served as senior consultant at Gallagher, Flynn & Company LLP from 2000 to 2001, and vice president of employee relations at Chittenden Bank from 1993 to 2000. She has also been dedicated to pro bono work as an executive coach for local nonprofits, contributed as an alumni class representative for the University of Pennsylvania since 2019, and served as membership chair for the ICF Raleigh Area Chapter from 2021 to 2022. Additionally, she developed the “Standing on Your Own” program for the Vermont Department of Corrections from 2005 to 2007.
Additionally, Ms. Lewis has been an expert speaker the International Day of Happiness Virtual Conference since 2015 and has contributed to Silicon Valley Change Executive Coaching since 2014. She co-authored “Interview Like Yourself… No, Really! Follow Your Strengths and Skills to Get the Job” and has contributed to various other publications. Additionally, she has served as a guest lecturer in the Master of Microbial Biotechnology program at North Carolina State University since 2012. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, summa cum laude, from Trinity College of Vermont and a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Her certifications include Shift Positive 360, Fundamentals ORSC, Level Two Intelligence, Global Team Coaching Accelerator, and certifications in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She attributes her success to trusting those around her and looks forward to helping executives discover their strengths, passion, and path in the years ahead.
