He previously began his career as an ag lender at Client Bank from 2004 to 2006 before working as an agricultural industry specialist at Wells Fargo Bank between 2006 and 2015. Offering tailored financial solutions to clients within the industry, his deep understanding of the agricultural sector was rooted in his upbringing on a farm with an impressive 180,000 turkeys, where he learned the value of hard work and dedication. Prior to his current role, Mr. Wilson served as a financial adviser at Wells Fargo Advisors from 2015 to 2021.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Wilson initially pursued an education at Concordia College, from which he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in organizational communications from Concordia College in 2003. He concluded his formal academic efforts at North Dakota State University soon thereafter, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in 2004. Furthermore, Mr. Wilson obtained his certification as a financial planner from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. in 2020 as well as credentials from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Wilson is actively involved in civic organizations such as the United Way of West Central Minnesota’s finance committee. Likewise, he is a devoted family man who cherishes spending quality time with his two wonderful daughters. Looking toward the future, he is focused on expanding his team at TrueJourney Advisors by gradually adding more advisers to his team each year until reaching his goal of having 60 advisors on board.
