Lisa Carrie Gloddy, Director of Physician Practices at Speare Memorial Hospital, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.

Having ascended from a ground-level operator to a directorial role, Ms. Gloddy possesses a comprehensive understanding of the entire operational spectrum at Speare Memorial Hospital. Her experience encompasses scheduling appointments and surgeries, collaborating with healthcare providers, overseeing teams and leading strategic initiatives. This diverse background allows her to approach challenges with a holistic perspective, informed by a deep knowledge of the organization’s intricacies. She began her career from the ground up, starting as an operator for a multimillion-dollar manufacturing company. Despite her dreams of attending the Culinary Institute of America, she found herself unable to work in the restaurant industry and left her job as a caterer to join an insurance company. Although the job was challenging, she persevered, and the head of the Northeast division recognized her potential, moving her to an administrative role. After a year, feeling unfulfilled, she took a job as a secretary scheduler, then a position in a veterinary clinic followed by a position as a surgical scheduler for ten providers.

Despite seeking to advance in her career, Ms. Gloddy found herself unsure of her next steps until she began pursuing a Bachelor of Science in management from Franklin Pierce University. During this time, she continued working for various surgeons, including those specializing in back surgeries and total back services. After graduating in 2003, she became an office manager for Cardiac Associates of New Hampshire and continued her education at The New England College, earning a Master of Science in health care administration and a Master of Business Administration in strategic leadership. From 2008 to 2017, she served as a practice manager for Core Physicians and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, joining Speare Memorial Hospital in 2022.

Over the coming years, Ms. Gloddy aims to ascend to the position of chief executive officer at Speare Memorial Hospital, drawing on her extensive experience. In addition, she aspires to establish her own boutique or cafe and eagerly anticipates increased opportunities for travel, with the goal of retiring at 62 while continuing her volunteer work. Once she reaches retirement, she is contemplating a career in healthcare consulting, recognizing her ability to contribute through teaching and implementing quality improvements, leveraging her expertise in lean training. She remains a dedicated advocate for wellness and is working toward obtaining a certificate in health advocacy, as her passion lies in understanding the impact of social economics on health and addressing the reasons for an individual’s lack of well-being.
