Mr. Gibbs’ previous experience includes serving as general counsel at ITR Concession Co. LLC from 2022 to 2023, senior counsel at Walsh Construction & Archer Western with The Walsh Group from 2018 to 2022, and corporate counsel at Walsh Construction & Archer Western with The Walsh Group from 2015 to 2018. He also served as deputy chief of staff in the Office of the Governor of Illinois from 2013 to 2015, deputy chief of staff at the Illinois Tollway from 2012 to 2013, and executive director of the Serve Illinois Commission under Governor Pat Quinn from 2009 to 2012. Earlier in his career, he worked as a law clerk at Corboy & Demetrio from 2008 to 2009, senior education policy advisor in the Office of Illinois Lt. Governor Pat Quinn from 2005 to 2008, and as a law clerk for the Federal Public Defender in 2008.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Gibbs laid a strong educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Arts in history from Providence College in 2003, a Master of Education in elementary education from Loyola University Chicago in 2005, and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago in 2011. Throughout his career, he has taken great pride in his ability to excel in both the public and private sectors, benefiting clients and the citizens of Illinois.
