Edward J. Fletcher, vice president of the commercial division at Presidential Pools & Spas, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in construction.
With nearly five decades of experience, Mr. Fletcher has established a successful career in construction services, specializing in pools and spas. Since 2008, he has served as vice president of the commercial division at Presidential Pools & Spas, following a tenure at Paddock Pools from 1977 to 2008. Presidential Pools & Spas, independently rated as Arizona’s number one pool builder and the largest in the United States, specializes in designing and constructing custom residential and commercial swimming pools and spas. In his role, he oversees all commercial projects, including new construction, renovations of semi-public and commercial facilities, and VBA compliance projects. Over his 47 years in the industry, he has successfully managed more than 500 major projects valued at $100 million. His portfolio includes iconic projects such as the Phoenician Resort, Chase Field Major League Baseball Stadium, Cadence Water Park, Dolphinaris, Magma Ranch, Tumbleweed Park, the swimming pools at Grand Canyon University, and The Y at ASU Downtown Recreation Center.
In addition, Mr. Fletcher is actively involved in community and industry initiatives. He is a member of United Aqua Group and has served as the golf chair for the Arizona Softball Foundation since 2001, where he helps provide scholarships to girls pursuing college education. His volunteer activities include supporting local initiatives and contributing to the success of Presidential Pools & Spas, which has been the number one residential pool company in the Phoenix market for the past five to six years. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was honored with Best of Aquatics and Best Fitness Center by Aquatics International Magazine in 2013, as well as induction into the Arizona Softball Hall of Fame. He laid a strong educational foundation with coursework in drafting and design technology at Mesa Community College from 1977 to 1980. He is a graduate of the Master II program in business administration and management at Rapport Leadership International, earning certifications in 2000 and 2005. Additionally, he holds an ROC contractor certification from Presidential Pools & Spas and Paddock Pools & Spas.
Mr. Fletcher is a commercial swimming pool designer, administrator, and project manager specializing in diverse commercial pool applications. He focuses on creating pools that meet local health codes and cater to the specific needs of clients, owners, and operators. With a portfolio of 180 projects valued at $55 million, he values collaboration with manufacturers and welcomes a variety of projects. Reflecting on his path, his career began at 19 when he joined Paddock, one of Arizona’s largest swimming pool companies, after seeking a job at the Arizona Department of Economic Security. Starting in 1977, Paddock was completing five to seven pools annually, but by the time he left, they were constructing 2,000 to 3,000 residential pools each year. Currently, he is leading a $1.5 million project while managing three additional concurrent projects. Looking to the future, he envisions continuing his work in swimming pool design and construction and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of professionals. He aims to share his extensive knowledge and experience, guiding young talent as they build their careers and refine their skills for success.
