At Gentiva Hospice, she managed operations, developed hospice care programs, and gained valuable experience leading diverse teams and fostering health care partnerships. In light of her impressive undertakings, she was honored as executive director of the region by Gentiva in 2023 and received the Nurse of the Year Award from HCA Hospital in 2013. She attributes her success to assembling strong, diverse teams, emphasizing that success stems from collaboration and leveraging the unique strengths of others rather than being the smartest person in the room. Looking to the future, she plans to expand the newly established Bristol Hospice branch, with a goal of transitioning to a regional role to further contribute to the company’s growth.
