Bill Grogan, vice president of Environmental Lighting for Architecture Inc. (ELA Lighting), has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in manufacturing.

With two and a half decades of experience, Mr. Grogan has established a successful career in manufacturing, specializing in high-speed custom manufacturing and restoration. Since 2008, he has served as vice president of operations, vice president of manufacturing and procurement, and director of operations at ELA Lighting, where he also holds a position on the board of directors. ELA Lighting, a leader in custom theme lighting, is recognized for its work with Disneyland and Universal Studios. The company has also completed projects for high-profile clients such as Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Bill Gates, as well as prestigious locations including the White House and several state capitals. In his role, he oversees a team of approximately 100 employees and manages an additional 55 to 60 staff members at a foundry in Mexico. He is currently preparing to launch innovative fixtures poised to set new industry standards and drive future growth.

Mr. Grogan’s previous experience includes serving as construction manager and senior superintendent at Frontier Communities from 2004 to 2008 and as project manager and director of purchasing at Penwal Industries Inc. from 1999 to 2004. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable experience working with James Hardie and Boeing. He has also been actively involved with the U.S. Green Building Council since 2014, contributed to the Corona City Council’s manufacturing board since 2022, served on the board of the career services advisory committee at Mt. San Antonio College since 2016, and participated in project planning for the American Red Cross in 2013. Laying a strong educational foundation, he earned an Associate of Arts in criminal justice from Riverside City College in 2002 and has completed certifications in leadership and management development and performance management through LeadershipOne in 2019 and LED certification from Philips Lighting University in 2016.

Reflecting on his path, Mr. Grogan takes immense pride in his passion for building homes. He fondly recalls constructing 20 to 30 homes in neighborhoods where he witnessed families flourishing and children playing. Walking through those communities, hearing kids call his name, and recognizing their parents and schools created a deep connection for him, making him feel like more than a builder. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has been recognized with several honors, including runner-up in the 2024 Spirit of Manufacturing Awards and multiple employee of the year awards at ELA Lighting, Frontier Communities, and Penwal Industries Inc.

Mr. Grogan attributes his success to the values instilled during his upbringing in a religious household and the invaluable mentorship he received. Looking to the future, he is preparing to assume the role of president of the company and is also exploring the possibility of establishing a consulting business focused on lighting as a supplementary endeavor. His strategy includes acquiring cutting-edge technology and staying ahead of competitors through enhanced advertising and marketing efforts. In the long-term, he is committed to showcasing innovative technologies and designs, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the industry and solidifies its position as a leader in the years to come.
