Mr. Ikemba has established a successful career in educational leadership and entrepreneurship. He currently serves in multiple roles, including Jedi Committee and workforce accelerator liaison for Avid4 Adventure since 2022, assistant director for The DAD Initiative since 2017, and chief financial officer for Cincinnati Peace Movement LLP since 2015. His responsibilities include overseeing annual budgets, collaborating with CEOs on strategies to expand services, and securing funding to continue offering free community services. His experience also includes serving as director for the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati in 2024, lead facilitator at the University of Cincinnati from 2022 to 2024, and a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, he dedicates his time as a volunteer with United Way of Utah County and the Red Cross Center. Laying an educational foundation, he earned a bachelor’s degree in middle childhood education with a specialization in language arts and mathematics from the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services at the University of Cincinnati in 2019.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Ikemba and his partner, bonded by their shared high school experiences, which included an unexpected death of one of their classmates. This personal tragedy turned into a mission for community impact and a mission to encourage others to embrace growth and resilience. Their efforts focus on motivating their community to view adversity as an opportunity for positive change. His most notable achievement is his organization’s role in a literacy event in Cincinnati, recognized with a mayoral proclamation. Held in October, this milestone initiative addressed diverse aspects of literacy, including reading, financial, health, and mental health, through collaboration with United Way of Utah County.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Ikemba has received recognition from The DAD Initiative, a city proclamation from the City of Cincinnati, and the Rookie of the Year award at the Community Summit. He attributes his success to his relationship with God and his ability to perform under stress. Looking to the future, he aspires to acquire land in a foreign country to establish an educational institution. His vision is to provide children with knowledge on literacy and global affairs, particularly in remote locations that foster a connection to nature. He also plans to integrate modern technological advancements into the curriculum, ensuring students remain informed and equipped with skills relevant to the evolving technological landscape.
