Dedicated to quality and innovation, Dr. Mosley, best known as “Dr. Da,” leverages his expertise in higher education and the nonprofit sectors, which spans over two decades, to foster growth among the companies he serves. Before launching Dr. Ra Consulting, he was a senior policy program manager at the Urban Institute from 2023 to 2024. He was also affiliated with The George Washington University as an adjunct professor for its executive leadership doctoral program between 2016 and 2024. Previously, Dr. Mosley was a faculty lead, associate professor and researcher at Northeastern University, dating back to 2018. He also spent time at the University of Maryland Global Campus as an adjunct professor of the human resource management program from 2013 to 2019. Earlier in his teaching career, he was a program manager at Georgia State University between 2001 and 2006.

Beyond his educational achievements, Dr. Mosley worked for the American Diabetes Association in Alexandria, Virginia, beginning as a program grant director from 2010 to 2013 and also as a national managing director between 2010 and 2016. Previously, he garnered success with the United Way of Atlanta as a community engagement director in 2003. He later rejoined the nonprofit as the director of community engagement from 2006 to 2010.

Highly educated, Dr. Mosley received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Savannah State College, a Master of Science Administration in organizational leadership from Central Michigan University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in human and organizational learning at The George Washington University. Besides his formal education, he received credentials through Coursera in generative AI and Denison Consulting in culture and leadership.

Civically invested, Dr. Mosley has been the vice president of programming innovation and impact at Independent Sector, the only national membership organization and advocate for nonprofits and philanthropies, since 2024. He also founded and chairs Mildred Stone Mosley White Inc., a nonprofit organization he launched to honor his late mother. Dedicated to addressing the systemic challenges African Americans face, the charitable organization provides scholarships to students and grants to business owners throughout the Chicago, Washington, D.C., Macon, and Savannah, Georgia, areas. Furthermore, Dr. Mosley has been active on numerous boards and has held various other volunteer leadership positions to give back.

Dr. Mosley’s extensive background has been pivotal to his success in consulting. Among his many achievements, he developed innovative educational programs and curricula, particularly during his tenure at Northeastern University, where he redesigned new doctoral courses in the organizational leadership studies program. He also created systems, processes, and tools to enhance knowledge facilitation, collection, and sharing through educational programs. In the nonprofit arena, Dr. Mosley designed and implemented strategic initiatives to address various community challenges. While affiliated with the Urban Institute, he helped create the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Upward Mobility Framework Project. He was also critical in the Center for Disease Control’s Partnership for Equitable and Resilient Communities initiative.

Honored with a Teacher of the Year nomination from Northeastern University, Dr. Mosley has also been recognized several times by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and Eta Lambda. These accolades inspire him to continue striving for excellence and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
