Mr. Monico is an expert in food service design and commercial equipment sales as the vice president and part owner at C&T Design & Equipment Company, a food service distributor in Indianapolis, since 2023. Besides co-managing and mentoring over 15 branch offices throughout the country, he is involved in sales, overseeing a group of eight salespeople who handle the private side of the food service equipment business in Indianapolis. A leader in the sales sector for over two decades, Mr. Monico started as a sales representative and team leader at Central Restaurant Products in 2003. Subsequently, he joined C&T as a multi-unit business development manager for emerging brands and national accounts in 2008.
Educated in his field, Mr. Monico received a Bachelor of Science in hospitality administration and management, with an emphasis in food service at Purdue University in 2002. Besides his formal education, he has remained at the forefront of his industry as a member of the Foodservice Equipment Dealers Alliance (FEDA) and the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers and as the marketing and training committee of the Supply & Equipment Foodservice Alliance (SEFA) LLC.
In 2022, Mr. Monico was honored to be a guest speaker at the Hospitality Summit at his alma mater, Purdue University. He continues to speak before various classes on campus within the university’s hospitality and tourism management department. Mr. Monico was recognized for his expertise in 2014 as the DSR of the Month in Foodservice Equipment & Supplies Magazine, which he notes as his most notable accolade. Attributing much of his good fortune in the industry to his tireless work ethic and transparency, he envisions continued growth at C&T Design & Equipment Company while mentoring the younger generation and becoming active with organizations like SEFA and FEDA.
