Craig Turner Dedo, MBA, Software Development Consultant at TATA Consultancy Services Limited, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Software Development.
Mr. Dedo is a leader in software development, currently working as a consultant for TATA Consultancy Services Limited in Brookfield, Wisconsin, since 2021. Bringing with him over 45 years of relevant experience, he is heavily involved in software support and development and improving existing procedures while working on an assigned task program. Mr. Dedo is widely regarded for his expertise in business and technical issues, Fortran programming language and manufacturing applications development, as well as software development.
Beginning his career at Lindberg, a unit of General Signal, in Watertown, Wisconsin, in 1979, Mr. Dedo was a design engineer. Over the next few decades, he landed positions with notable organizations like MTS Systems, 3M, Signicast Corporation, Caterpillar Inc. and Abbott. In more recent years, he worked for Navistar Inc. in Lisle, Illinois, as an open VMS software development consultant between 2018 and 2020. Mr. Dedo also excelled as a software engineer at Penta Technologies, an enterprise construction software and services company based in Brookfield, from 2016 to 2017. While employed by Penta Technologies, he developed approximately 80 enhancements and defect fixes in the core of an extensive and complex accounting and project costing system for the construction industry, among other accomplishments.
Highly educated in his field, Mr. Dedo earned a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics, engineering and physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1979 and a Master of Business Administration in 1991. He also studied at DeVry University, where he garnered a Master of Arts in project management in 1994. Besides his formal education Mr. Dedo holds credentials as a certified associate in project management from the Project Management Institute (PMI) Inc.
In his professional community, Mr. Dedo is affiliated with the Institute of Electric and Electronics Engineers Computer Society and PMI as a member and former speakers committee chair and Professional Development Day planning committee. Civically, he has served on numerous local committees and councils, including for the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Watertown and Milwaukee SPIN. Mr. Dedo has also been engaged with the Boy Scouts of America, where he is recognized as an Eagle Scout, and as a member of the Faithful Men’s chorus.
A well-written writer, Mr. Dedo has contributed over 15 publications to standard operating procedure documents and authored ‘Debunking the Myths About Fortran’ in a 1999 edition of the Association of Computing Machinery’s Fortran Forum. These accomplishments are a testament to his credibility in the field.
Among Mr. Dedo’s most notable achievements throughout his career, he was instrumental in fixing numerous severe defects in the Keyserver program while employed by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. As an OpenVMS software development consultant for the health care organization between 2005 and 2006, his extensive work to fix the program reduced the failure rate by over 99%.
Mr. Dedo received a Rensselaer Math and Science Award, a Bausch and Lohm Award and a Lutheran Religious Award, highlighting his professional and personal success. He credits much of his good fortune to his perseverance and faith. Grateful for his accomplishments, Mr. Dedo intends to continue consulting and possibly accept project management roles in the coming years.
