Guy Christophe Koloko, Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer at KNS Solar, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Engineering.
Mr. Koloko, a leading engineer impacting the industry for two decades, founded KNS Solar LLC in Houston in 2014 as its president and chief executive officer. Through the company’s subsidiaries and affiliates, he has provided solar energy solutions and services to residential, commercial and industrial power companies worldwide, including grid-tied, off-grid and hybrid solar solutions throughout Texas. The minority business-certified, disadvantaged business-certified company is also recognized by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
Beginning his career at SPINNER Austria GmbH in 2006 as a CNC programmer, Mr. Koloko joined Niagara National Corporation in Atlanta in 2012 as an automation project engineer, designing and improving HMI panels. Subsequently, Mr. Koloko was recruited by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in The Woodlands, Texas, as a SCADA project engineer in a contract position in 2014, the same year he launched KNS Solar LLC. He also garnered success as a SCADA project manager at Enbridge Pipelines in Houston between 2016 and 2018.
Highly educated, Mr. Koloko studied at Southern Polytechnic State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in mechatronics, robotics and automation engineering in 2012. He also received CNC programmer certification from Gwinnett Technical College and credentials as an NABCEP PV installer. In addition to his educational background, Mr. Koloko remains affiliated with the Texas chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America. Grateful for his professional and personal accomplishments, he and his team notably completed a significant project that comprised a 1.7-megawatt solar farm in Illinois that required the installation of approximately 4,000 solar panels. Moreover, his civic commitment as the founder of the Koloko Solar Foundation has been dedicated to installing solar panels and battery storage in Africa at no cost. Attributing his wife for her support to much of his success, Mr. Koloko looks forward to continue establishing KNS Solar as a reputable brand for designing and producing superior solar systems manufactured in the U.S.
