Before joining the Chicago-based accounting firm, Mr. Ghazi was affiliated with KPMG in Houston. Acquired as a senior information technology advisory personnel in 2005, he subsequently became an information protection and business resilience manager from 2008 to 2011 and the director of information protection and business resilience until 2014. Active in the cybersecurity field for over 25 years, with over 15 years of experience in infrastructure security, system implementation and application security reviews, Mr. Ghazi’s most notable accomplishment has been supporting the success of the many individuals who have worked for him and the impact he has had on their careers.
A graduate of the University of Houston, Mr. Ghazi received a Bachelor of Science in finance in 2003. Civically, he remains active with the University of Houston Alumni, Amaanah Refugee Services and the Houston chapter of The Citizens Foundation. In 2011, Mr. Ghazi authored ‘The Increasing Importance of Security for the Smart Grid’ via KPMG LLP. He contributes to various industry journals and has become sought-after as a public speaker on privacy and security-related topics. Mr. Ghazi’s expertise has been recognized by Consulting Magazine when he was named the 2024 Cybersecurity Professional of the Year. In the coming years, he intends to assist RSM US LLP in evaluating various strategic initiatives before pivoting into consulting.
