Ms. Randall, president and founder of Abaxent LLC in Wisconsin, has been instrumental in her role since 2002. Leveraging her expertise in Information Technology (IT), she focuses on sales and innovation to progress the company forward. As president and chief problem solver, she leads Abaxent LLC, a certified minority/woman-owned business that specializes in connecting businesses with the right technology solutions. The company provides tailored technology solutions, including implementation, people, products, leasing options and workforce solutions services. Abaxent as a technology broker, leveraging its capabilities to source cost-effective and efficient technology resources, offering clients one-stop shopping for their IT needs.

Under her leadership, Abaxent has achieved notable successes, including a prestigious partnership with Johnson Controls on the network technology infrastructure for the Fiserv Forum Stadium in Milwaukee. In 2020, during the global pandemic, her technical team collaborated with both Johnson Controls and military personnel on a critical public health initiative, constructing the network technology for the COVID-19 Alternate Care Facility at Wisconsin State Fair Park. This vital emergency response project demonstrated Abaxent’s technical expertise and commitment to community service during an unprecedented crisis.

In addition, Ms. Randall was an entrepreneur in residence at Marquette University in the Opus College of Engineering in Milwaukee from 2016 to 2018 and the president of Connection Strategies Enterprises Inc., dating back to 2005. Additionally, she garnered success as an associate professor at Alverno College Business School in Milwaukee from 1993 to 2016. With over 40 years of technical and business experience, she has specialized in the development of business startups, service innovation, and process improvement across various industries including healthcare, government, manufacturing, and construction. Ms. Randall is also an advocate for women pursuing careers in STEM fields and mentors aspiring entrepreneurs. In preparation for her career, Ms. Randall became highly educated, earning a Bachelor of Science in computer science and electrical engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 1975 and a Master of Science in electrical engineering with a focus on biomedical engineering from Marquette University in 1979.

Ms. Randall is actively engaged in professional organizations in support of her field as a member of Women in Tech. She has served as the first vice chair for the North Central Minority Supplier Development Council’s Minority Business Economic Input Committee and as an ambassador for the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (Wisconsin). Civically, she has served as an IT United volunteer for the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County and served on the Waukesha cabinet of the United Performing Arts Fund. In light of her success, she received a Professional Achievement Award from Marquette University in 2015. She currently serves on the boards of Discovery World, GPS Education, University of WI – Madison Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management and appointed to the WI Automated Vehicle External Advisory Committee. In the next few years, Ms. Randall intends to find someone equally as passionate as she is about her work to take over her business.
