Mr. Arango, head of sales and business development at PARMI USA Inc., a leader in advanced 3D inspection systems, has been in his leading role since 2024. Based in South Florida, his role encompasses establishing processes, procedures and strategies to enhance the market penetration in the parking sector. Mr. Arango’s success and expertise in international business development, team leadership, and sales and account management, as well as his technical acumen in electronics and electronics manufacturing, have been pivotal to his longstanding success in the industry.
PARMI, short for Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence, was founded in 1998. The technology-driven organization focuses on developing and supplying in-line 3D inspection machines for various applications, including SMT manufacturing and semiconductor processes. The international organization has 10 branches and 40 agencies worldwide.
Before joining PARMI USA Inc., Mr. Arango was the senior vice president of sales and marketing at Inovaxe Corporation in Boca Raton, Florida, from 2023 to 2024. A leader in appliances, electrical and electronics manufacturing for over two decades, the company’s primary focus is to deliver ultra-lean smart solutions to increase operational efficiencies and material flow velocity.
Mr. Arango began his career in 1985 as a sales manager at Gerber Technology, a company that develops software and automation solutions. In 2000, he was acquired by Universal Instruments Corporation, a Delta Group Company, as a regional sales manager, where he excelled in electronics. Following his success here, Mr. Arango joined Panasonic Factory Solutions as a national sales manager, where he continued advancing his expertise in the electronics sector.
In 2014, Mr. Arango was recruited to Koh Young America, initially as the director of Americas sales and then as general manager between 2016 and 2021. During his tenure focusing on inspection equipment, he successfully grew the company from $14 million to $65 million. Mr. Arango also excelled as the vice president of sales at Nano Dimension from 2021 to 2023 before spending the rest of 2023 as a freelance global sales executive.
Highly educated, Mr. Arango received a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida in 2006 after completing his undergraduate work. He is also active in his professional community as an officer of the Space Coast chapter of the Surface Mount Technology Association. Beyond his professional affiliations, Mr. Arango is a member of the Puerto Rico National Golf Team.
An advocate of giving back, Mr. Arango spent a lot of time involved in charity work, particularly while his children were attending school. His children attended catholic school from elementary through high school, and the experience taught him and his entire family the importance of community.
Mr. Arango received several Salesman of the Year awards from Gerber Technology early on. Beyond his accolades, he is most grateful for his ability to lead, which has earned him an admirable reputation in the industry. Mr. Arango also credits his honest, straightforward and strict demeanor for enabling him to hold individuals accountable while empowering them.
Reflecting on his remarkable career with admiration, Mr. Arango attributes much of his good fortune to his upbringing by immigrants from Cuba. His future plans include preparing the next generation of leaders before retiring from his organization.
