Ms. Rossovsky, executive director for City Access New York in Staten Island, has been in her leading position since 2014. Over the past decade, she has excelled in managing the enforcement, budget, banking, and all internal and external connections for the organization and fiduciary responsibilities. She also collaborates with the board of directors and conducts departmental meetings to ensure continued success. Recognized as a nonprofit entity, City Access of New York serves all five boroughs of New York, working with young adults with varied disabilities and helping identify barriers to meet their needs within the community through various programs and services.
Before her tenure with the nonprofit, Ms. Rossovsky was the training director at Diversity Experts Inc. from 2008 to 2024. She was also affiliated with the International Institute of New Jersey, a nonprofit interpreter school, as a training and program director, where she successfully developed a culturally linguistic program and trained bilinguals as health interpreters between 2000 and 2012. Earlier, she held roles with a hedge fund company and various joint venture organizations and taught middle and high school students at School 3665. Ms. Rossovsky’s education has been instrumental in her diverse career and continued success. She received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education and linguistics from the Maurice Thorez Moscow State Institute of Foreign Languages (now Moscow State Linguistic University) and speaks fluent English and Russian. In addition to her formal education, Ms. Rossovsky has remained abreast in her field through participation in the International Medical Interpreters Association and the Medical Interpreter Education as a commissioner and sat on the New Jersey Statewide Network for Cultural Competence board.
Among other noteworthy accomplishments, Ms. Rossovsky had the opportunity to work for the NBC-TV series “Peter the Great,” filmed in Moscow during the 1980s. She was an interpreter and coordinator and worked with the special effects department. Ms. Rossovsky is also proud to have developed the cultural and linguistic program from the ground up at the International Institute of New Jersey, which was both challenging and rewarding. Civically, she has supported numerous worthy causes, including the academic program for blind high school and college students and other charitable organizations that assist individuals with disabilities and blindness. Drawing inspiration from her nephew’s autistic son, these causes are very dear to her. In light of her success, Ms. Rossovsky received a Certificate of Recognition from the IMIA in 2004.
