Parthasarathi “Partha” Chakraborty, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at Natixis, Co-Chair of the Cloud Key Management Workgroup and Co-Chair of the Research Workgroup at Cloud Security Alliance, and Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Technology.
Mr. Chakraborty, a leader in the technology sector, has been a key figure in the industry for over 25 years. Since 2025, he has been serving in a leading role as the deputy chief information security officer at Natixis Corporate and Investment Banking in New York City, a leading global financial institution based in Paris. Additionally, since 2022, Mr. Chakraborty has been instrumental as the co-chair of the cloud key management workgroup at the nonprofit organization Cloud Security Alliance and as the co-chair of its research workgroup since 2024. Beyond his primary work obligations, Mr. Chakraborty has been teaching the next generation as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, since 2023.
Mr. Chakraborty’s professional tenure has included holding a leadership role in security executive management since 2008 and working in the networking and infrastructure industry for over a decade. Before his current positions, he worked for Humana from 2021 to 2024, initially as the head of cloud security architecture engineering, operations and security innovation and later as the head of enterprise security strategy, architecture, engineering and innovation. Mr. Chakraborty also worked for BMO Financial Group as the director of cloud security in 2019 and as the head of network and cloud security engineering and operations between 2019 and 2020. Among several other notable roles, he garnered success at Guardian Life, JPMorgan Chase & Company and Bank of America. His success dates to 1997, when he worked as a manager of networking and security at Tata Consultancy Services.
Possessing a rich educational background, Mr. Chakraborty received a Bachelor of Engineering in applied electronics and instrumentation engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela in 1997, a Master of Science in technology management from Columbia University in 2016, and a Master of Science in information security from Western Governors University in 2016. Additional educational pursuits to his credit include completing the CTO program at Wharton Executive Education and the Advanced Computer Security Certificate program at Stanford University. Among other accomplishments, Mr. Chakraborty received several industry-related certifications, including as a certified cloud security professional and certified information systems security professional from the International Information System Security Certification Consortium and as a hacking forensic investigator through the EC-Council.
Beyond his primary endeavors in the industry, Mr. Chakraborty has served in various capacities with professional organizations, including as a mentor for the Global CISO Leadership Foundation, a technical advisory council member at Google, and an advisory board member at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Rutgers University and the Forbes Technology Council. These roles are a testament to his industry knowledge. Civically, Mr. Chakraborty served on the dean’s board at NJIT for over a decade, was a board member for a local nonprofit organization in New Jersey, and was a generous supporter of area food banks and large charitable organizations, such as Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Mr. Chakraborty’s expertise in cybersecurity, cybersecurity defense, architecture, and engineering, as well as his ability to fortify cybersecurity technology and process controls, has been pivotal to his success and tenure in the field. Among numerous professional accomplishments, he built the credit card fraud detection security framework and secured a U.S. patent in cybersecurity during his tenure with JPMorgan Chase & Company. In the 1990s, shortly after graduating from college, Mr. Chakraborty had the opportunity to work with the Department of Telecommunications in India, where he was entrusted with building the necessary infrastructure to provide Internet services to the country’s residents. At that time, setting up service there was difficult, as there was limited knowledge and training available and very few certified individuals in the field. Despite these factors, Mr. Chakraborty was able to self-teach himself and complete the massive project several days ahead of the public announcement.
Mr. Chakraborty attributes his success to his passion and dedication. He aims to continue making a significant impact in the cybersecurity industry by advancing research and development in the field. Mr. Chakraborty also plans to expand and diversify Purbayon, a nonprofit organization with which he is involved, by developing educational programs that support underprivileged children. Moreover, he intends to raise funds and contribute to cancer research.
