Mr. Eilola, a seasoned professional with over four decades of experience, currently serves as the president at Chemring. In this role, he oversees customer contracts and approves hiring growth plans. Mr. Eilola’s expertise and extensive background in delivering results in the consumer products, chemicals, aerospace and space industries have been pivotal to his success and recognition as a significant asset to Chemring.

Based in England, Chemring is recognized as a leading technology business specializing in designing, manufacturing, supplying and supporting high-technology sensors, information, countermeasures and energetic defense and space manufacturing solutions. Among various industries, the company supports commercial markets like space and transport, as well as national defense and security agencies.

Before being acquired by Chemring, Mr. Eilola was the vice president of operations for the Americas region at Vertiv from 2023 to 2024. Before that, he was the senior vice president of operations at Blue Origin between 2021 and 2023. During his tenure at Blue Origin, Mr. Eilola established two greenfield operations and played a pivotal role in successful rocket launches. His leadership ensured a smooth transition when he left the company after hiring his replacement.

From 2019 to 2021, Mr. Eilola served as the ATS chief operations officer at Celestica. He also held significant roles at Mattel Inc., including senior vice president and chief supply chain officer between 2017 and 2019. His efforts were instrumental in Mattel’s turnaround, which was crucial for the company’s survival. Mr. Eilola was employed by Mattel Inc. for over a decade.

Mr. Eilola’s career also included a notable tenure at Honeywell Aerospace as the vice president of integrated supply chain operations for the Americas from 2012 to 2017. He successfully executed the Honeywell operating system, driving growth and scalability while teaching new employees and management training courses. Mr. Eilola’s earlier years included roles at BOC Gases, Arch Chemicals, and other leading organizations, dating back to 1984 when he first worked as a tech service engineer at Kalex Chemicals.

Mr. Eilola’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Villanova University, a private catholic research university in Villanova, Pennsylvania, earned in 1983. His education has been pivotal to his ongoing success in the field.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Eilola is actively involved with local Catholic charities as a volunteer. Looking ahead, he aims to become involved with nonprofit organizations in the chemical, aerospace or space industries as a board director or advisor, leveraging his extensive experience and diverse background to give back.

Mr. Eilola values the connections he has made throughout his career and takes pride in seeing many of those he has managed go on to run companies and hold significant positions across various industries. He attributes his success to the teams he has led and the individuals he has surrounded himself with throughout his career. Mr. Eilola’s upbringing in South Philadelphia also instilled values and a work ethic integral to his achievements.
