Chris Milano, vice president of supply chain at SodaStream Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business management, operations and logistics.
Mr. Milano has established a distinguished career in supply chain management, currently serving as the vice president of supply chain for North America at SodaStream Inc. in Purchase, New York, since 2023. In this role, he oversees a comprehensive array of functions, including forecasting and planning, transportation, warehousing, procurement and other areas of the business. Mr. Milano’s leadership has been instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of SodaStream’s products from manufacturing to customers across the United States.
Before being appointed to his present position, Mr. Milano was the vice president of operations for SodaStream Inc. in Pennsauken, New Jersey, from 2021 to 2023. During this time, he honed his operational efficiency and strategic planning skills. His previous tenure at Lavazza between 2015 and 2021 as the director of customer logistics and technical services for North America was also instrumental in solidifying his expertise in logistics and customer service. Earlier, Mr. Milano excelled as the supply chain director at Korres Natural Products from 2013 to 2014 and as the vice president of operations at Dylan’s Candy Bar between 2012 and 2013.
Mr. Milano’s career began with Johnson & Johnson Services Inc., where he held various roles from 2000 to 2012. He started as a buyer and PACT site coordinator intern at Ortho Biotech Inc., then progressed through positions such as reverse distribution/revenue management analyst, customer logistics lead, senior transportation analyst, team leader for customer logistics and project leader for Project Cool Chain. Mr. Milano’s final role was as a distribution project manager at JOM Pharmaceutical Services Inc.
Mr. Milano’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in business logistics from the Pennsylvania State University in 2001 and a Master of Business Administration in global business and management from Rutgers University in 2009. Further enhancing his credentials, he received a certification in introductory data science and artificial intelligence for supply chain management from the University of Sydney in 2024.
A professional journey that has been shaped by diverse experiences across large corporations like Johnson & Johnson and PepsiCo, and smaller companies such as Dylan’s Candy Bar and Lavazza, Mr. Milano’s varied roles have provided him with valuable insights into different aspects of the supply chain, allowing him to develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes. As a testament to his recent success and expertise in cross-functional team leadership and supply chain management, his team identified $5.5 million in productivity and cost savings at SodaStream in 2024, the largest of any subsidiary within the company.
Beyond his many professional accomplishments, Mr. Milano is learning German alongside his wife. He also remains committed to community efforts through his involvement with Earth Day activities to support sustainability.
Looking ahead, Mr. Milano also aims to focus on automation and artificial intelligence integration within supply chains to improve efficiency amidst rising labor and material costs. He envisions leveraging technology to streamline warehouse operations, inventory management and demand forecasting while maintaining a resilient supply chain that can adapt to challenges like those experienced during the pandemic. As e-commerce continues to grow, he is also interested in exploring innovative last-mile delivery options such as drones and autonomous vehicles to enhance customer satisfaction.
