Mr. Craig has dedicated his career to enhancing educational opportunities and community support as the co-founder and executive director of Bridge Builder’s Program Inc. Mr. Craig and his team are diligent about providing Nashville and the surrounding communities with the means to thrive with the help of numerous sponsors like eBay, Kroger, Nashville General Hospital and other generous organizations.

Since 2016, Mr. Craig has been instrumental in expanding the organization’s reach, assisting 40 schools twice a year as part of its School Supply Closet program. Under his leadership, the organization has successfully stocked school supply closets in multiple schools, addressing the needs of both students and teachers. Other projects include the Hospital Toiletry Closet, which provides essential hygiene care items to those in need, the Thanksgiving Fixing and Turkey Giveaway, and the Turkey, Blankets, Toys Giveaway Christmas Giveaway. Besides managing these programs, Mr. Craig is involved in grant research and writing, volunteer coordination, program development and management, and communication and outreach.

Before launching Bridge Builder’s Program Inc., Mr. Craig was a Metro Nashville Public Schools special education teacher until 2022. During his tenure, he created a work-based learning program for students with disabilities, partnering with local businesses such as Apple Inc., Goodwill International Industries Inc. and Logan’s Roadhouse. This initiative provided students with hands-on training in essential workplace tasks, empowering them to transition smoothly into the workforce.

Mr. Craig’s academic background includes an Associate of Science from Volunteer State Community College, a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and corrections from Middle Tennessee State University, and a Master of Public Administration in nonprofit organizational management from Tennessee State University. His education has equipped him with the skills for effective nonprofit management.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Craig is a passionate martial artist who trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for numerous years under the Gracie family. He earned a blue belt at Bad Wolf MMA and competed in multiple tournaments, showcasing his competitive spirit. His dedication to martial arts reflects his commitment to discipline and perseverance. Mr. Craig’s community involvement extends to his volunteer efforts at Bridge Ministries to help students with disabilities learn valuable job skills, providing a supportive environment that promotes independence.

Mr. Craig’s efforts have been recognized with several awards, such as the Superior Service Award in 2017 and Omega Man of the Year in 2018 from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. In light of his civic efforts, he was recognized by Points of Light for his impactful volunteer work. Beyond his accolades, Mr. Craig’s contributions to society were recognized when he was featured in an article titled ‘Meet Daniel Craig, Co-Founder and Executive Director’ in the Tennessee Highlighter in 2024.
