Brian S. Kim, Senior Director of Supply Chain at Lithos Energy Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in the Automotive Industry.
Mr. Kim’s career in the automotive sector spans 15 years, marked by his expertise in procurement and supply chain management. Since 2024, he has served as the senior supply chain director at Lithos Energy Inc., a global leader in high-performance lithium-ion battery systems in San Francisco, California. In this role, he manages contracts and business relationships with vendors, supports manufacturing processes and collaborates with management to oversee the company’s budget and strategic sourcing. Before this position, Mr. Kim was the director of global supply chain at the manufacturing company from 2023 to 2024.
Before joining Lithos Energy, Mr. Kim was in charge of supply chain and programs at Canoo, an electric vehicle manufacturing company, in the Greater Los Angeles area of California from 2020 to 2023. His earlier roles included senior purchasing manager at Rivian, an Irvine, California-based motor vehicle manufacturing company, between 2019 and 2021, and senior global supply manager at SpaceX in Hawthorne, California, from 2019 to 2020.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Kim excelled as a senior global supply manager at Faraday Future in Los Angeles, a global intelligent mobility ecosystem company, from 2018 to 2019. Recruited from Daimler AG in Portland, Oregon, he garnered experience as a senior strategic buyer between 2016 and 2018. Mr. Kim’s career began with influential roles such as product manager and account executive at LG Chem in Troy, Michigan, from 2015 to 2016 and project manager at KT Corporation in California, dating back to 2013.
Before his tenure in California, Mr. Kim’s linguistic skills as a former professional interpreter for the presidential offices of Korea and Russia contributed significantly to his career achievements. He also worked as a business analyst for the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, a state-funded trade and investment promotion organization run by the Government of South Korea.
Mr. Kim’s academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, completed in 2015. His education was supported by several scholarships, including the Haas Full Scholarship and the Berkeley Undergraduate Scholarship. These academic achievements have been instrumental in Mr. Kim’s ability to navigate complex business environments and build successful relationships with global partners.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Kim is actively involved in civic organizations. He has been a donor for Be The Match through the National Marrow Donor Program since 2009 and founded the Habitat Club for Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley, where he served as the president from 2012 to 2013. Mr. Kim’s commitment to community service is further demonstrated through his roles as finance manager of the ARC Club with The American National Red Cross and volunteer work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association Inc.
Mr. Kim attributes his success to building relationships and trust across diverse cultures, as well as support from family, friends and colleagues. Looking ahead, he aims to elevate Lithos Energy Inc. to a world-class level with aspirations of going public or partnering with Caterpillar due to their significant collaboration.
