During this time, he implemented the Puma Energy Graduate Program digitally, bridging the gap between education and industry. His previous tenure at Standard Bank Group spanned over a decade. This tenure included roles that allowed Dr. Akinola to continuously excel, beginning as a director of agent and ultimately serving as the global partner (head) of TPS learning and development, where he led initiatives that enhanced learning solutions across the organization.
Dr. Akinola’s early experience as a business development and human resources officer at Amecron Nigeria Limited, as well as his role as a leadership, learning and performance consultant at Virtuez & Fredz Concepts, laid the foundation for his expertise in leadership management and development.
Dr. Akinola’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria in 2002, a Master of Business Administration from Delta International University in 2015, and a Doctor of Management with a focus on leadership and organizational development from Atlantic International University in 2022. His certifications include being a certified Hogan practitioner. He also received an executive leadership certificate from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
Dr. Akinola is a member of the Association for Talent Development, reflecting his commitment to advancing industry standards in talent management. Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Akinola is actively involved with Ultrashift Inc. and serves as a leader within his local church.
