Before being acquired by Cruise, Mr. Singh served as a camera system program manager at Ford Motor Company in 2022. During this time, he also played a pivotal role in advancing the development of autonomous vehicles, particularly through the integration of complex sensors. Mr. Singh’s expertise in system-level design and sensor fusion was crucial in overcoming challenges posed by inclement weather in regions such as Boston, Seattle and parts of Michigan.
From 2020 to 2022, Mr. Singh served as the technical program manager for camera and lidar systems at Motional, a Boston-based company that has been focusing on revolutionizing driverless technology for decades. Before joining Motional, he was first hired by Ford Motor Company as an AV project engineer between 2018 and 2020, where he initially honed his skills in autonomous vehicle technology.
Mr. Singh’s career began with various roles that laid a strong foundation for his future achievements. He worked as a project management consultant at EPMA, a consulting company headquartered in Houston, from 2017 to 2018. Earlier, Mr. Singh achieved success with Larson & Toubro in the United Arab Emirates between 2012 and 2015, starting as a senior project controls engineer, where he developed essential project management skills, and then as an assistant manager of project controls.
Highly educated, Mr. Singh received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from JNTUH College of Engineering in Hyderabad, India, in 2010, a postgraduate diploma in project engineering management from the National Institute of Construction Management and Research in Pune, India, in 2012, and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Houston in 2017. These educational achievements have been pivotal in shaping his career trajectory.
Mr. Singh is an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the Project Management Institute Inc., the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers, the American Production and Inventory Control Society, INFORMS, and the Society of Automotive Engineers. Additionally, he supports VT Seva, reflecting his commitment to civic engagement. These memberships have been instrumental in helping Mr. Singh remain at the forefront of his industry.
Mr. Singh has been recognized for his professional accomplishments, having been awarded three patents related to complex sensor systems and technologies. He aims to enhance immersive experiences in augmented reality and virtual reality across various platforms.
